Meet the Owner

Michael D. Ewing

Michael D. Ewing is a seasoned commercial solar operations professional with 16 years of progressive hands-on experience in the solar PV industry. Beginning as a Solar Installer at Standard Solar (2009–2011) and advancing through roles as Construction Manager in government contracting and Senior Construction Manager at SolarCity (2011–2015), where he led installations from 10 kW to 14 MW and earned recognition for safety excellence, Michael later served as Commercial Technical Trainer at SolarCity/Tesla (2015–2016), developing curriculum and training facilities nationwide. Most recently, as VP of Operations at SG Inc. (2017–2025), he managed over 400 MW of commercial and utility-scale solar projects annually, scaling the business from $3M/5 MW to $35M/400 MW per year, generating $100 million in sales and over $1 billion in active estimates while building and leading a high-performing team of construction and project managers. A Maryland-licensed Journeyman Electrician, former NABCEP Certified PV Installer, and OSHA 500 Authorized Instructor, Michael brings deep expertise in electrical work, project execution, subcontractor management, safety, and value engineering to every commercial solar project.

Paul T. Torian

Torian Electric LLC is named in honor of Major Paul T. Torian (1920-2004), a distinguished U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served with valor during World War II. As a captain in Company K, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, he earned the Navy Cross for his heroic actions at the Battle of Piva Forks on Bougainville, Solomon Islands, in November 1943. His leadership and bravery under fire contributed significantly to the success of his unit. Major Torian’s legacy of courage, dedication, and service inspires our commitment to excellence in every project we undertake.
